Pricing & what's included
How much does it cost to rent a dumpster in Ocala?
$390 for a 12-yard and $449 for a 16-yard. Both are flat rates that include a 10-day rental, delivery, pickup, disposal, and a weight allowance: 1.5 tons on the 12, 2 tons on the 16. That's the whole price, not a base rate. See both sizes side by side on our 12 and 16-yard dumpster rental in Ocala page.
What's included in the flat rate?
Delivery, pickup, disposal up to your weight allowance, and 10 days on site. No fuel surcharge, no environmental fee, no separate delivery charge. We lay out every line item in our guide to what a dumpster rental costs in Ocala.
What's the cheapest dumpster you rent?
The 12-yard at $390. But the cheapest dumpster is the one you only rent once. Stepping up to the 16-yard costs $59. Running out of room and needing a second can costs a whole second rental. If you're torn, size up. Our 12 vs 16-yard dumpster size guide walks through it by project.
What happens if I go over the weight limit?
It's $70 per ton for the extra, prorated, based on the scale ticket from the disposal facility. We show you the ticket. No per-pound math designed to confuse you. Details are on our roll-off dumpster rental page.
Do you charge more for concrete, dirt, or roofing shingles?
Heavy material (concrete, dirt, sod, brick, tile, and shingles) is quoted separately from the standard flat rate because a can of it weighs several times what a can of furniture does. Tell us when you book and we price it upfront. If it's undisclosed and shows up at the scale, it's billed at the overage rate. Roofing math is in our roof tear-off dumpster guide.
Do you charge extra for same-day delivery?
No. Same-day or next-day delivery is included at no extra charge whenever we have a can available. Book it on our same-day dumpster rental in Ocala page.
Are there any fees that aren't in the flat rate?
Only ones you can see coming: weight over your allowance, heavy debris you didn't tell us about, keeping the can past your rental period, prohibited items in the load, and a trip fee if you cancel after the truck has been dispatched. All of it is spelled out in our terms of service, and we'll always tell you before a price changes.
Do you offer contractor or volume pricing?
Yes. Roofers, remodelers, builders, and property managers renting regularly get negotiated volume pricing, priority scheduling, and fast swap-outs. We're fully insured, and a certificate of insurance is available for your job site. Call (352) 352-DUMP or see the contractor section on our dumpster rental in Ocala page.
Sizes & space
What size dumpsters do you have?
Two roll-off sizes. The 12-yard is 14' long × 7.5' wide × 3.5' high and holds about 4 pickup-truck loads. The 16-yard is 16' long × 7.5' wide × 4.5' high and holds about 6. Between the two they cover about 95% of the jobs we see. Compare them on our 12 and 16-yard dumpster rental page.
What size dumpster do I need?
Garage or attic cleanout, single-room remodel, or a small one-layer roof: 12-yard. Whole-home cleanout, big kitchen or whole-house remodel, construction, or bigger roofing and decking: 16-yard. Concrete, dirt, tile, or brick: call us first. Full breakdown in our guide to what size dumpster you need.
Will a couch fit in a 12-yard dumpster?
Yes. The 12-yard box is 14 feet long and 7.5 feet wide, so a couch lays flat in the bottom with room to spare. Break down what you can (bookcases, cabinets, boxes) and fill the gaps with small stuff, and you'll fit a lot more in the same can. Only have a couch and a few pieces? Furniture and junk removal in Ocala may be the better fit than a whole can.
Do you have 20 or 30-yard dumpsters?
No. We run 12 and 16-yard cans on purpose, because they fit residential driveways and cover almost every home project. When a job outgrows one can, we swap the full one for an empty one. Tell us the scope and we'll plan the hauls with you. Both sizes are on our roll-off dumpster rental in Ocala page.
What size dumpster do I need for a roof tear-off?
On a roof, weight fills the can before space does. A single-layer roof up to about 15 squares fits a 12-yard. A typical Ocala single-story home, 20 to 25 squares, is 16-yard territory. Two layers doubles the weight, so call us. Give us your square count and we'll quote it upfront. The full math is in our roof tear-off dumpster size guide.
How much room do I need for the dumpster?
A firm, reasonably flat spot about 20 feet long and 10 feet wide, plus overhead clearance, because the truck raises its bed to slide the can off. Low branches, power lines, and carports are the usual problems. A standard two-car driveway handles either size. Not sure? Text us a photo of the spot. Tight spot on a narrow street? Read up on dumpster rental in Silver Springs and Ocklawaha, where sandy, unpaved drives are the norm and we plan placement around them.
Will the dumpster damage my driveway?
We put boards down under the rails on every delivery and our drivers take their time placing the can. Roll-offs are heavy and Florida asphalt gets soft in the heat, so plywood under the rails matters most on pavers and newer asphalt. Tell us if the drive is soft or sandy and we'll pick the firmest spot. Paver driveways are common in dumpster rental in Summerfield communities, and we always suggest the flattest section to spare the edge bricks.
What can (and can't) go in
What can I put in the dumpster?
If it came out of a house, a remodel, a garage, or a yard, it almost certainly goes in: furniture, mattresses, carpet, drywall, lumber, flooring, cabinets, doors, fixtures, yard waste, branches, and most construction and remodel debris. Shingles too, just tell us because they're heavy. The full list is in what can and can't go in a roll-off dumpster in Florida.
What can't go in a dumpster?
Tires, car and lithium batteries, liquid paint, stains and solvents, fuel, oil, propane tanks, fridges, freezers and AC units with freon, chemicals, hazardous waste, and medical waste. Most of that list is banned from the landfill too. It's not us being picky. Got something on that list? Call us before you rent a dumpster in Ocala and we'll point you to the right place for it.
Can I put a mattress in a roll-off dumpster?
Yes. Mattresses and box springs go right in. No need to cut them up or bag them first. Just one mattress? Our junk removal in Ocala crew can take it without a whole can.
Can I throw a TV or old electronics in the dumpster?
It's a gray area. A TV or a computer mixed into a household cleanout is generally fine. A pallet of old monitors is not. Ask us first and we'll tell you straight. Clearing a whole house of it? Our junk removal and cleanout service sorts that out for you.
Can I put paint in a dumpster?
Not liquid paint. It leaks and contaminates the rest of the load. Pop the lid, stir in cat litter or a paint hardener, and let it dry solid. A fully dried can is fine to toss. Everything else from the remodel goes in your roll-off dumpster rental.
What do I do with a refrigerator or AC unit?
Anything with freon has to be drained and certified before disposal, so it can't go in the can. A scrap yard or appliance recycler can handle it. Ask us and we can often point you to one. If you'd rather hand it off entirely, mention it when you book junk removal in Ocala and we'll handle it properly.
Where do the banned items go instead?
Tires: most tire shops take them for a small fee. Car batteries: auto-parts stores and scrap yards. Lithium packs: hardware stores or electronics recycling drop-offs. Paint and chemicals: Marion County's household hazardous waste drop-off. It's a two-minute errand before the can arrives, not a sorting job after. Then fill your flat-rate dumpster rental in Ocala with the 95% that's fine.
What if something banned ends up in the can?
Be honest with us and it's almost never a problem. If we spot it at pickup, we usually set it aside and tell you where it goes. It gets expensive when it's hidden in the load and the landfill finds it, because then there can be a rejection or contamination fee, and under our terms that charge is the renter's. The full list is on our dumpster rental in Ocala page.
Timing & rental period
How fast can you deliver a dumpster?
Most of the time same-day or next-day. Call early and there's a good chance we can have a can in your driveway today. Book on our same-day dumpster rental in Ocala page or call (352) 352-DUMP.
How long can I keep the dumpster?
10 days is included in the flat rate, which covers most projects start to finish. Most roof tear-offs are done in one to three days, so the dumpster is never the thing rushing your crew. Every size on our 10-day dumpster rental in Ocala page includes it.
What if I need it longer than 10 days?
Projects run long. That's normal. Let us know before your 10 days are up, ideally before day seven, and we'll work it out. Extended rentals can carry an additional charge, and we'll tell you what it is before you commit. Renovating in The Villages, where time limits are tighter? See dumpster rental in The Villages.
How quickly will I get a quote back?
Usually within the hour during business hours. Our hours are Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Start one on our dumpster rental quote form.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. Just tell us as early as you can. If the can has already been dispatched or delivered, a trip or service fee may apply. That's in our terms.
Permits, HOAs & placement
Do I need a permit to put a dumpster in my driveway in Ocala?
No. On your own driveway, yard, or lot there's no city or county permit. If you're in an HOA, check its rules on approval and time limits. That's the association, not the government. Our dumpster permit rules for Ocala and Marion County guide covers every case.
Do I need a permit to put a dumpster on the street?
Expect yes. A public street is public right-of-way. Inside Ocala city limits, contact the City of Ocala (ocalafl.gov) before delivery day. In unincorporated Marion County, check with the county (marionfl.org). Requirements change, so we don't quote fees or ordinance numbers. Ask the office that owns your road. Tell us it's a street placement when you book your dumpster rental and we'll position the can the way they expect.
How do I know if I'm in the City of Ocala or Marion County?
Look up your address on the Marion County Property Appraiser site. It shows whether the parcel is inside city limits. A lot of "Ocala" addresses, including Silver Springs Shores and Marion Oaks, are actually unincorporated county.
Can my HOA stop me from renting a dumpster?
Usually they can't stop the project, but they can require approval, limit where the can sits and how many days it stays, and fine you for skipping the process. Call your HOA office before you book. Our 10-day rental fits inside most HOA windows, and if yours is tighter we'll schedule the drop and pickup around it. We run into this constantly with dumpster rental in Summerfield, in Spruce Creek and Stonecrest.
Can I put a dumpster in my driveway in The Villages?
Deed compliance in The Villages limits how long a dumpster can sit in a driveway, so most jobs there are load-and-go: we load and haul the same day and nothing sits at the curb. Planning a longer renovation? Check with your district's community standards first. See how we handle dumpster rental in The Villages.
Who is responsible for getting the permit, me or you?
Right-of-way permission is generally tied to the property owner, so it's typically yours to request, and our terms put placement permits on the renter. We'll tell you when placement looks like it needs one, point you to the right office, and set the can clear of hydrants, driveways, and sight lines. Most of our dumpster rental in Belleview drops go on the driveway, so the question never comes up.

Junk removal vs. a dumpster
Is junk removal or a dumpster cheaper?
Depends who's doing the lifting. If you're loading it yourself over a few days, a flat-rate roll-off is usually the better deal. If you want it gone in one trip without touching it, junk removal in Ocala is priced by how much room it takes in the truck. We do both, so send a photo and we'll tell you honestly which one costs less for your pile.
How is junk removal priced?
By volume, meaning how much room your stuff takes up in the truck, and how much lifting it takes to get there. You get a flat, upfront price before we lift anything. No hourly meter, no surprise add-ons at the end. Send photos through our junk removal in Ocala page for the tightest price.
Do I have to move everything to the curb?
No. That's the whole point. We carry it out of the house, garage, attic, or shed. You point, we lift. That's how junk removal in Ocala works with us.
Do you do estate cleanouts?
Yes: whole-home and estate cleanouts, downsizing, and pre-listing purges, scheduled around closings and estate sales. The sorting is yours; the lifting and hauling is ours. Start with our estate cleanout checklist.
Land clearing & storm cleanup
Do you do land clearing too?
Yes. Brush, small trees, fence lines, lots, and acreage, cleared with our skid-steer and excavator, rough-graded, and hauled off. Mulching grinds brush in place; traditional clearing pulls everything out for a building pad. More on our land clearing in Ocala page.
How much does land clearing cost?
There's no honest flat per-acre number. Density, tree size, access, and whether debris is mulched or hauled can swing the same acre by double. We walk the lot for free and give you a firm price. What drives the number is in land clearing cost in Marion County.
Do I need a permit to clear land in Marion County?
Sometimes. The county protects certain trees and vegetation, so larger or heavily treed lots can need a county permit. Gopher tortoise burrows need an FWC relocation permit before any work within 25 feet of them (FWC gopher tortoise permits). We flag it during the estimate, before we clear.
How fast can you respond after a storm?
As fast as it's safe to roll. Get on our free priority list before the storm hits and you're one of the first calls we make once it passes. Sign up on our storm debris cleanup in Ocala page.
Will you help with my insurance claim after a storm?
We provide before-and-after photos and an itemized invoice so you have documentation for your homeowner's claim. Whether debris removal is covered depends on your policy, so check with your insurer. Book it through our storm debris cleanup in Ocala page.
Can storm debris go in a regular dumpster?
Yes. Brush, limbs, fence panels, and damaged building materials all go in a roll-off, with the usual exceptions (no freon appliances, fuel, paint, or chemicals). Wet wood is heavier than it looks, so the 16-yard is the usual pick. For a downed oak, our crew cuts and hauls it instead. That's our storm debris cleanup service.
